Steve has an extensive occupational health & safety and environmental management background, gained in heavy engineering and various manufacturing industries. He holds both NEBOSH Diplomas, is a Chartered Member of IOSH and an IOSH Mentor, and he is also a Practitioner Member of IEMA. From a teaching perspective, he holds Level 3 PTLLS. From an environmental perspective, Steve has been responsible for a number of EA/NRW Permitted Sites. It is these experiences that make him an ideal tutor for both the NEBOSH General Certificate and the Environmental Management Diploma.

Steve also has an extensive background in regulatory and compliance matters, such as REACH, CLP/COSHH, and extensive experience of implementing and maintaining management systems, such as ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001, TS16949 and ATEX product certifications. Before becoming responsible for EHS functions some 16 years ago, he was a QA Manager in a wide variety of manufacturing industries, most notably in Tier 1 & 2 Automotive, looking after a number of global projects for customers such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Bosch.
